Back to more conventional watercolour work . . .

Below is an almost completed A4 offering which I will undoubtedly enter in “Art and Craft” at the nearby village show next weekend. I have been working on this on and off most of the morning as it has not been worth trying to venture outside due to the weather ! I did bake a batch of muffins, but, as my mobility is still somewhat limited, household chores (which is what I really should be doing) are a bit hit and miss! As heavier housework is off my agenda at the moment GOS is in charge of this division!

Watercolour on Daler Rowney Langton paper. Using palette of – burnt sienna, burnt umber, sepia, violet and neutral tint.

I do hope the weather improves for next Saturday and that the show runs alright. So many events throughout the country, big and small, have been curtailed or cancelled this weekend due to the storms. It so frustrating for organisers when it takes so much hard work, all voluntary, to get these village shows and community events up and running; only to have them ruined by our unpredictable weather…… fingers crossed for the coming weekend.

Hope we get a little break in the rain today for at least a bit of a walk and some fresh air . . .
