Autumn colour. . . . .

“Cape Fushia”

“Hazel”

Hawthorn and fir cone

Images of the season. I sketched the Fushia quickly last night to decorate a get well card for a friend. She had given me a cutting years ago from her garden and it thrives here (bejewelling one of my very soggy autumn borders with vivid orange). I treasure this tenacious little shrubby plant.

  1. The hazel leaf works well with a feeling of dampness and light.
